NICE BY NATURE GUEST LODGE, HONEYDEW

Nice by Nature is a beautifully appointed guesthouse and conference venue on the “wedding mile” in the Honeydew/Muldersdrift area. Set in a tranquil garden, with abundant bird life and the sound of the river flowing by you will feel a million miles from civilisation, yet it is a mere 25 minutes from Sandton.

We offer 16 en-suite bedrooms, tastefully decorated with all the necessary home comforts. Each room has a t.v., fridge, safe, hairdryer and a tea station.

Eight of the rooms have outside showers which are a real treat in the summer months. The conference room seats 30-40 guests, cinema style, 16-20 u-shape and 12 boardroom style and offers either a projector or flat screen plasma tv for presentations. The gardens are immaculate and are home to many animals, pot belly pigs, tortoises, chickens, geese donkeys, ostriches, springbok and a boisterous Nguni calf.

We are definitely child friendly and in special cases animal friendly too. Nice by nature is situated on 42 acres of beautiful countryside, and is a definite escape from the rat race.

The main house and rooms 2 and 3 are under thatch and the balance have tin roofs. Lovely in the rain.

There are 6 spacious family rooms, comprising a double bed and 2 bunks. This makes Nice by Nature an ideal weekend getaway for families not wanting to travel too far out of the city.

All rooms are decorated differently, utilising calming colours. They have heaters in winter and fans in summer to maintain a pleasurable temperature. The main house offers DSTV whilst the other rooms have SABC 1,2,3, and eTV.

The guesthouse also offers a WIFI service free of charge to all guests and conference delegates.

The rooms all have a small bar fridge with fresh water daily. Some rooms are also equipped with microwave ovens; although one will be provided on request if there is not one in the room.

A secret hideaway on the banks of the Wilgespruit River in Honeydew, is where you will find our beautiful wedding venue. Set in a tranquil garden, with abundant bird life and the sound of the river flowing by you will feel a million miles from civilisation, yet it is a mere 25 minutes from Sandton.

While our chapel seats up to 100 guests , we are happy to hold smaller, more intimate weddings. We can custom make your day to suit your requirements and your budget, placing emphasis on attention to detail. Our experienced wedding co-ordinator Henry will help turn your dream into reality.

 Conferences:

Nice by Nature offers two very comfortable conference rooms.

The Reed Room, so named because of its beautiful ceiling is the smallest of the two. This room can accommodate 12 delegates boardroom style, 16 ‘U’ shape and up to 30 classroom style. It has a cosy fireplace for cold winter days and airconditioning for hot balmy days. There is a full day tea / coffee station.

This is a perfect venue for top business decision makers, NGO’s, strategy planners, business coaches and the like.

The Reed Room is fully equipped with a TV monitor, whiteboard and flipchart. Nice by Nature notepads and pens are made available to all guests. Sweets and water are also provided. Lunch is served on the sunny verandah at the Guesthouse.

The River Room is our second conference venue and is a large private venue overlooking the Wilgespruit. This room is also fully equipped. This room is perfect for conferences of up to 100 delegates. It is carpeted and has a large fireplace for cooler winter days. Tea and coffee are provided in the venue whilst lunch is served at the Guesthouse.
