This owner-managed African farm is over 2000 hectares and is part of the world’s 17 “hot spots” with 3 overlapping flower zones. Conveniently situated on the longest wine route, namely Cape Route 62, De Zeekoe’s unique charm attracts guests of a different kind. People from all walks of life visit this stylish African farm in search of a unique experience.

Guests can choose between various types of accommodation, ranging from stylish suites to rustic waterfront cabins.

The idyllic setting indeed has something to offer for everyone – from the daring adventure-seekers to those who just yearn for a quite getaway.

Suites:

15 stylish suites opening onto cool verandas set in a lush indigenous garden with views of the Oliphant’s riverbed and mountains.

Cabins:

Only 5 minutes drive from the main house, you will find our 4 unique waterfront cabins.
They are built from alien poplar wood that we removed to make way for endemic brush and offer breathtaking views over the lake with abundant birdlife with 162 recorded species and is a malaria free area. The cabins are fully equipped, except for television.

Perfect for a family or romantic getaway.

Canoeing and fishing at the lake is ideal for families and to enjoy the scenery and nature around you. Each of the 4 cabins has 2 bedrooms (interleading ceiling), bath and shower, lounge, kitchenette and a large fireplace and deck.

Weddings:

The veranda of the old colonial-style homestead of De Zeekoe offers an ideal setting for a wedding ceremony, complimented by overwhelming tranquility and natural beauty. We specialise in small intimate weddings, comfortably seating 60 people. We can seat 120 people; 80 can be seated inside and if weather permits, the rest outside on the verandah.

We can assist on arranging a wedding photographer, beautician and minister if requested.

Conferences:

De Zeekoe is a place to relax and feel inspired - an African farm and reserve on 2000 hectares. Here, away from it all, in a relaxed atmosphere with a magnificent views of the Olifants River bed and Outeniqua mountains, is an ideal place for business strategies and new developments to be brainstormed by you as leader and your team.

Teambuilding programs can be arranged to suit your individual requirements from drumming to chocolate and wine tasting. We can seat 36 people board-room style, 60 people school-room style and 80 cinema-style. A data projector, flip chart, screen as well as 24-hour internet service is available.
