Blissful tranquillity in a large tropical jungle, our garden is filled with the sound of water and birdsong, a peaceful haven where guests relax on private decks and terraces taking in the abundant birdlife and soaking up the warm sunshine after a day exploring all the Garden Route has to offer.

Bamboo Guesthouse is perfectly situated midway between two award winning golf courses, a 5 minute drive to either Knysna’s bustling town centre with vibrant waterfront and restaurants, the famous Heads or Leisure Isle’s two sandy beaches.

Our 6 garden cottage rooms, accessed separately via elevated wooden walkways through the truly magical gardens, 5 bamboo screened or walled courtyard garden rooms, 2 elevated loft rooms - one a king, the other our sumptuous Honeymoon Loft suite with a private sitting room and extra large king bedded room, have each been individually and beautifully decorated to a high standard and tastefully equipped with flat screen colour TV with DSTV/satellite, tea and coffee making facilities, ceiling fan, ipod docking radio clock, heaters and a bar fridge. The private terrace or deck attached to each room is an ideal spot to unwind and can be as sociable or private as you’d wish to be.

A full English breakfast is served on our large deck which extends into our very own mini Knysna forest! Evenings spent in at our in house restaurant Mosaic is a special experience. Country style European cuisine using the best season fresh local produce!

As your hosts we are always available to share our local knowledge of the area and to arrange bookings for restaurants and excursions. For the adventurous we can organise eco-adventure outings and activities including forest cycles, individualized lagoon and ocean sunset cruises, guided walks and horseback riding, abseiling, kayaking, scuba diving, fishing, bungee jumping and lots more.
