Bergplaats Game Lodge, Beaufort West. Bergplaats comprises 8 500 hectares of scenic private land on the plains of the Karoo. It is situated 80 kilometres from the historical town of Beaufort West. Set against a mountain backdrop, the farm supports a huge diversity of more than 1 000 plant varieties from South Africa’s various biomes - the distinct ecological communities of plants in a particular climatic area. Animals abound, and there are more than 50 mammal species, over 300 bird species and numerous reptiles and amphibians in this healthy, malaria-free area.

Bergplaats is a private safari destination for both local and international visitors. It is a tranquil retreat for those who want to escape the stresses of city life. Accommodation includes self catering, bed & breakfast and fully caterered options, for a maximum of 24 guests.

Gemsbok Lodge is a fully furnished and modern equipped four-bedroom farmhouse that accommodates 10 people. The house is connected to a bar and an open-air lapa.

Vrolijkheid Private Guest Suite offers more exclusive accommodation for private clients. The suite has two bedrooms, a full bathroom, private kitchen and lounge, and accommodates six people. The spacious lounge opens onto a private patio and comes equipped with its own state-of-the-art jetmaster fireplace, to ward off cold Karoo winter nights.

God’s Window is a rustic mountain lodge with a magnificent view, set in tranquil surroundings on the side of the mountain. It has no electicity, which distinguishes it as an environment of simplicity and calm, suitable for guests who prefer solitude and contemplation. God’s Window accommodates 7 people.
